Project Pop-up

November 11, 2012

New York City is known to be the fashion capitol of the world, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg is making sure it stays that way.  As a part of Project.NYC.2020 that was launched in 2010, Project Pop-up was created.  Project Pop-up is an annual competition that is held to promote “new and innovative retail concepts.”  The competition recognizes and rewards up-and-coming and creative fashion retailers and fashion-related technology companies based in New York City.  Winners receive a month-long, rent-free space, a retail showcase, and a tool kit of business services like PR and marketing.  Previous winners include Style for Hire, a network of stylists that offer personal shopping, and Fashion GPS, which connects people and events through digital tools that informs and invites guests to a variety of fashion events.  Think you have what it takes?  Check out the website for detailed information at

We love New York City.  We love fashion.  Let’s keep it the fashion capitol.
