Awards season has BEGUN! This is such an exciting time for everyone in the entertainment industry. The work of so many groups and individuals is finally rewarded, and while they walk the carpet to the event, designers everywhere are getting the attention they deserve.

This past wednesday night in Los Angeles, the 39th annual People’s Choice awards was held in the Nokia Theatre. It has been a phenomenal year in TV, film, and music, and it’s exciting to see what YOU voted for. The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco hosted the awards and announced that over 475 million votes were cast. We’re pretty happy with your choices, too! From boy band One Direction winning the favorite song (What Makes You Beautiful) to The Hunger Games ringing in with 6 collective awards (including Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Franchise, AND Favorite Action Movie), we’re proud of your opinions! While nearly everyone had style to brag about, we’ve picked out a few of our absolute favorites.

Glee star Lea Michele WOW-ed in this hot pink Elie Saab dress. She was one of the few who bared all of her legs, and we can’t blame her! The dress holds the perfect amount of glitz and fits her her petite figure perfectly (can someone take me to her trainer–please?). This dress needed no distractions, so her simple accessories and pulled-back hair were great moves to complete her outfit.

At BTAC, we are huge fans of Ralph Lauren. Apparently, Favorite Country Artist winner Taylor Swift is too! We’re in awe of this Ralph Lauren gown, and despite its simplicity, we think that Taylor’s simple accents, like her hairstyle and earrings, were perfect.

The Hunger Games mega-star Jennifer Lawrence didn’t need an award to steal the show— she had it in the bag when she hit the red carpet. This Valentino Haute Couture number is striking, and her smoky eye makeup combined with the sheer mesh neckline complement the dark, yet beautiful feel of this dress. Jennifer is rumored to get an Academy Award nomination (announced tomorrow! EEEK!) for her work in Silver Linings Playbookand we’d be lying if we said we weren’t dying to see her walk many more red carpets this year. Good luck to our favorite tribute! Girl tribute, of course.

Congratulations to all the winners AND nominees! We’re proud of their work, and their fashion choices for the evening. And thanks to you fans, we got to see them in action. Be sure and stay tuned tomorrow to hear the 85th annual Academy Award nominees and look out for our follow-up post!

xoxo– Rachel
